About ProofInk.AI
Built by a researcher, for researchers
ProofInk.AI was created by Konstantinos Spiliopoulos, Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Boston University.
With over 20 years of experience in statistics, mathematics and machine learning, I have served on review panels for a number of agencies, reviewed hundreds of grant proposals and papers, have been awarded multiple grants and have consistently published original scientific work. I built ProofInk.AI because I saw how difficult it is for researchers — especially early-career faculty — to get structured, criterion-level feedback on their proposals and papers before submission.
Why ProofInk.AI Exists
Getting meaningful feedback on a grant proposal or research paper before submission is one of the hardest parts of academic life. Senior colleagues are busy. Internal review deadlines are tight. And generic AI chatbots give surface-level comments that miss the structured, criterion-level analysis that review panels actually perform.
ProofInk.AI was built to fill that gap — providing rigorous, evidence-backed feedback against the same evaluation criteria that real review panels use, available on demand, at any stage of the writing process.
Our Principles
- Your documents are yours. We never use uploaded content to train AI models. Your research stays confidential.
- Feedback must cite evidence. Every critique must quote specific text from your document. No vague comments.
- Transparency over hype. We are clear about what AI can and cannot do. Our AI Disclaimer spells out the limitations honestly.
- Built for academia. Every feature is designed around the workflows researchers actually use — not repurposed from generic business tools.
